Where magic isn't just a word—it's what you feel here
Look, we're not gonna feed you some corporate origin story. Back in 2018, our founder Elena had this wild idea after spending a sleepless night stargazing in Whistler.
She thought—why can't there be a place where people come to disconnect from the chaos and actually reconnect with something bigger? Not in a cheesy way, but like... for real. So she bought this old lodge, brought in some astronomers, a few crystal healers who actually knew their stuff, and a chef who was obsessed with molecular gastronomy.
People told her it wouldn't work. "Too niche," they said. "Nobody wants mystical AND luxury." Well, turns out they were wrong. Really wrong.
When we installed that 16-inch telescope on the roof, something shifted. Guests started booking just to spend nights mapping constellations. Scientists came for retreats. Couples got engaged under Saturn's rings. Yeah, it sounds dramatic, but that's literally what happened.
We're not trying to be everything to everyone—just the right place for the right people
Our astronomy team includes actual astrophysicists who get genuinely excited about showing you Jupiter's moons. They'll talk your ear off about nebulas if you let 'em, and honestly, it's pretty contagious.
Our spa director studied under crystal healers in Brazil for three years. She doesn't do the woo-woo nonsense—just practices that've been working for centuries, combined with modern therapeutic techniques.
Whistler gives us dark skies and mountain energy. We're far enough from Vancouver's light pollution but close enough that you don't have to trek through nowhere to get here. Plus, the altitude? Chef's kiss for stargazing.
We hire people who believe in what we're doing. Everyone here—from housekeeping to the front desk—has been trained in our philosophy. They're not reading scripts; they're sharing what they love about this place.
It's hard to describe without sounding like we're overselling it, but there's this energy. Maybe it's the mountain air, maybe it's the intention we put into every detail, or maybe it's just that we attracted the kind of guests who make this place special. Whatever it is, people feel it the moment they walk in.
Founder & Visionary
Started this crazy experiment after 15 years in luxury hospitality convinced her something was missing. She's the one who insists on fresh flowers aligned with lunar phases and won't compromise on thread count. Also makes a mean midnight hot chocolate.
Chief Astronomer
Left academia because he wanted to share the cosmos with regular people, not just peer-reviewed journals. Has discovered two minor asteroids and named one after his cat. Runs our stargazing sessions and gets way too excited about meteor showers.
Wellness Director
Trained in everything from Reiki to Swedish massage, plus that three-year crystal healing journey in Brazil. She's skeptical of quick fixes but believes deeply in energy work done right. Don't ask her about your chakras unless you've got an hour to spare.
Executive Chef
Creates dishes inspired by celestial events—yes, really. His "Nebula Soufflé" is legendary, and he once made a 12-course meal based on the zodiac. Classically trained in Paris but isn't precious about it. Just wants to blow your mind with food.
We've got plans. Big ones. There's talk of adding a meditation labyrinth in the gardens, expanding the observatory with a planetarium, maybe even hosting astro-photography workshops. But we're taking it slow, making sure everything we add feels right.
Because at the end of the day, this isn't about becoming the biggest or fanciest. It's about staying true to that original vision—a place where the universe feels close enough to touch, and where you can finally exhale.
